Labour's leadership in Lewisham are very excited about Obama's election, although you can be sure the feeling isn't reciprocated. Specifically, they were so excited that their discussions of the inauguration at a council meeting last night went on too long for a Green proposal on free school meals to be considered. I suspect the President wouldn't be hugely impressed by that outcome. Can't this sort of chat be saved for the pub afterwards? Won't they think of the children?
